SOC LLC in Bridgeton, MO is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for a contract-to-hire opportunity. The engineer will support mechanical design, platform integration, and sustaining engineering for released hardware.

Expected tasks include CAD model maintenance, ECO execution, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure producible, cost-effective designs. The role emphasizes independent work, clear communication of technical risk, and delivering high-quality designs on schedule.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years of mechanical design experience in an industrial environment.
• Proficient with 3D CAD (Creo preferred) and 2D drawings release.
• Working knowledge of GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Create/revise CAD models and drawings; ensure GD&T and documentation quality per ASME standards.
• Execute ECOs and support configuration management processes.
• Troubleshoot prototype/test/production issues; lead root cause and corrective action.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement fixes and improvements.
• Develop designs optimized for various manufacturing methods.
• Report performance against schedule and communicate risks to IPT lead.
