Job summary

Buro Happold in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking an Associate Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead building environments projects with a focus on technical excellence and client satisfaction.

The role requires 12+ years in building services MEP design; a BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering, and a P.E. license. LEED AP preferred. Proficiency in Revit and computational analysis tools is expected. Hybrid work arrangement and generous benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of mechanical engineering design experience in building services.
• Senior role experience in MEP within an architectural engineering consultancy.
• BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering; P.E. certification; LEED AP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for project teams to deliver objectives.
• Lead the design and technical specifications of mechanical systems.
• Manage project resources, client relationships, and deliver solutions.
• Mentor graduates and junior engineers.
• Communicate directly with clients and maintain relationships.
• Direct multiple projects across the group and ensure financial success.
• Ensure compliance with codes and client interests.
