Job summary

STV is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer in Douglassville, PA to lead facility mechanical system design across healthcare, education, municipal, and industrial markets. You will coordinate with a multidisciplinary team from planning through construction documents, delivering high-quality, energy-conscious designs.

Requirements include ABET-accredited degree, PE license, 15+ years in large building design, and proficiency with Revit/AutoCAD; LEED/ASHRAE credentials are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Architectural or Mechanical Engineering from ABET-accredited university.
• Professional Engineering license required; multi-state licenses a plus.
• Experience with boiler and chiller system design and HVAC controls.
• 15+ years in design of engineering systems for large complex buildings.
• LEED/ASHRAE Green High-Performance Buildings accreditation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produce contract documents including plans and specs aligned with scope, schedule and budget.
• Coordinate with architects, structural/electrical/plumbing engineers on HVAC requirements.
• Perform construction administration, RFIs, submittals, site inspections and reports.
• Prepare energy models, load analyses and control diagrams; lead design reviews.
• Attend interviews, contribute to proposals, and assemble man-hour estimates.
