Job summary

STV is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for our Buildings Division in Douglassville, PA. You will design facilities‑scale mechanical systems across Healthcare, Education, Municipal, Industrial, Federal and Science & Technology sectors, guiding projects from planning through construction documents.

You will collaborate with a multidiscipline design team, produce contract plans and specs, and perform energy analyses and LEED-related submissions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Architectural Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET‑accredited university.
• Professional Engineering license required; multi‑state licensure a plus.
• In‑depth knowledge of boiler and chiller system design, installation and commissioning.
• Experience with HVAC controls and control systems is a plus.
• 15+ years designing engineering systems for large complex buildings.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Experience with energy modeling software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produce contract documents (plans and specifications) aligned with scope, schedule, and budget.
• Prepare drawings and specs per best practices and STV quality standards.
• Coordinate with architects and engineers on HVAC requirements.
• Perform construction administration: RFIs, submittals, field inspections, reports.
• Lead design reviews with clients and agencies; engage in project interviews.
