Qualifications

• 8–10 years of mechanical engineering experience in building engineering or energy projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Active New York State Professional Engineer license required.
• Experience with decarbonization and electrification initiatives.
• Proficiency in building energy analysis and performance evaluation.
• Proficient with Revit and AutoCAD for design and documentation.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical codes and utility requirements.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical system designs for HVAC, hydronic, district energy and other building projects.
• Perform design calculations, field investigations, and documentation reviews.
• Evaluate options for energy efficiency and system performance to meet project goals.
• Prepare and review construction drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate mechanical designs with project teams and ensure code/compliance alignment.
