NY Building Systems Consultant Inc. is seeking a Senior HVAC Engineer for its New York City office to join a design and build team.

The role involves leading HVAC design including heating, cooling, ventilation, and building automation, with a focus on energy efficiency. The candidate should have 4+ years of HVAC design experience, a mechanical engineering degree, and is encouraged to pursue PE, LEED AP, and Revit credentials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 4+ years of experience in commercial and residential HVAC design
• PE license preferred
• LEED AP preferred; Revit experience preferred
• Interest in building design and energy savings

Responsibilities

• Load calculations and energy modeling for projects.
• Design mechanical systems including heating, cooling, ventilation, and controls.
• Prepare contract drawings detailing designed systems using AutoCAD.
• Select equipment for building systems.
• Manage small projects and liaise with clients.
