Job summary

PAR Systems is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Advanced Engineering and Manufacturing teams in the United States. You will lead the design of automated manufacturing systems, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to project direction from concept through validation.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, participate in design reviews, and travel to customer sites as needed to support installation and commissioning of equipment.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering.
• 7+ years of experience in design of automated manufacturing systems.
• Experience with 3D CAD modeling packages – SolidWorks is a plus.
• Ability to manage system design from concept through detailing on a tight timeline.
• Demonstrated ability to own and drive projects to completion and to deliver on commitments.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites; 10-25% travel may be required.
• US Person.

Responsibilities

• Lead internal and external design review meetings to ensure system design meets standards and customer requirements.
• Hands-on with designs while supporting machine build and checkout activities.
• Validate new design concepts through proof-of-concept and feasibility studies in the robotics lab.
• Shape direction of the Mechanical Engineering function and influence standards.
• Mentor team members and lead small design teams toward project completion.
