Job summary

ENGEL North America is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical design of automation cells and retrofits. You will create 3D models, develop 2D drawings, and build BOMs for robots and ancillary equipment, while guiding the ME team to uphold ENGEL standards and quality in project deliverables.

You will collaborate across departments, support field activities, and contribute to quoting efforts.

Qualifications

• 3D modeling and 2D drawing creation for automation cells and equipment.
• Develop mechanical designs that meet industry safety standards.
• Lead ME team, ensuring design quality and standards compliance.

Responsibilities

• 3D modeling of automation equipment incl. robotic tooling and handling components.
• Create and modify 2D drawings and BOMs for production orders.
• Provide mechanical engineering support to field work and pre-assembly activities.
• Lead ME team and oversee department standards and design quality.
• Participate in design reviews, kick-offs, FATs, and project documentation.
