Job summary

Hamilton Storage in Franklin, MA is seeking a Mechanical Engineer III to design, develop, verify, and validate automated storage systems for laboratory applications. You will lead mechanical design from concept to market release on cross-functional teams, balancing performance, cost and manufacturability.

The role requires a BSME/MSME and 8+ years of experience, SolidWorks proficiency, engineering analysis expertise, and U.S. work authorization with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of mechanical engineering experience in product development.
• Experience releasing mechanical products to production via a structured new product development process.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, verify and validate automated lab storage products and subsystems.
• Lead mechanical design activities from concept through market release on cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with electrical, software, manufacturing, quality and product management teams.
• Perform engineering analysis and contribute to tolerance stacks and GD&T.
