Job summary

Eaton’s Electrical Sector - ARS division is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer onsite at our Arden, NC manufacturing facility, supporting Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS) products. Relocation assistance is available to candidates who currently reside in the US.

The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer for ATS products is responsible for the development and delivery of best-in-class Automatic Transfer Switch products and features, ensuring solutions align with market needs and customer

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
Two (2) years of experience in mechanical design.
Proficiency in engineering design software/tools.
Eaton will not sponsor employment immigration for this position.

Responsibilities

Develop, design, validate, and manage the implementation of new Automatic Transfer Switches.
Translate customer requirements into measurable performance criteria.
Create technical communications: datasheets, interface control documents, test plans.
Design, model, and test product prototypes.
Maintain and improve existing products through design and competitive analysis.
Collaborate with internal teams and outside suppliers to develop new features.
Ensure compliance to national and local electrical codes and standards (UL, NEC, NEMA).
