Job summary

Kimberly-Clark in Warren, Ohio seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead design, development, and optimization of assets and processes, delivering safety, reliability, and continuous improvement across the plant.

You will guide cross-functional teams, manage medium-to-large asset improvement initiatives, mentor colleagues, and partner with maintenance to drive obsolescence planning and capital projects. Flexibility for shift coverage is required.

Qualifications

  • Requires a Bachelor or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum 7 years industrial experience in a variety of technical or operational assignments in a high-speed consumer product manufacturing and/or staff environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform in cross-functional teams to achieve objectives within required timeframes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver equipment and processes that meet safety requirements, policies, and guidelines.
  • Lead asset improvement projects from inception by specifying, selecting, procuring, installing, checking-out, and starting-up associated equipment.
  • Manage multiple medium-to-large initiatives to deliver improvements to asset performance or plant systems; lead major initiatives for breakthrough improvements, solving higher level problems for the plant.
  • Develop knowledge and skills in leadership of the application of engineering principles, scientific analysis, LEAN principles, and project management.
  • Seeks, recognizes, defines, and solves complex technical issues to root cause to achieve objectives.
