Job summary

Raytheon Technologies in El Segundo, CA, seeks a Principal Mechanical Engineer for the Radar Antenna Design II section to advance electronic packaging for airborne radar subsystems, including antenna and RF assemblies.

You will lead projects, develop concepts from requirements, produce layouts with CAD, engage suppliers, and maintain PDM workflows while working toward production readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in STEM or 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with ANSI drawing standards and GD&T.
• Experience with electronic packaging for airborne applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support on major programs and interface with engineers.
• Lead smaller project teams through design development and CAD data packages.
• Develop unit design concepts from requirements and perform design trades.
• Create detailed layouts and documentation using CAD tools.
• Support suppliers and manage Product Data Management (PDM) workflows.
• Be REA for a subsystem and ensure design objectives are met.
