Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is hiring a Senior Mechanical Engineer in York, PA. You will join the AHU Product Engineering team within the Applied Equipment Group, overseeing certifications and regulatory compliance across the AHU portfolio.

Relocation packages are available, and on-site presence is expected three days a week. You will collaborate with engineering, product management, manufacturing, and external agencies to drive innovation, reliability, and quality in air handling solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 5 years of Experience.
• Experience with software testing and multiple data base manipulation.
• Ability to troubleshoot, collaborate and brainstorm with other team members.
• Has a broad analytical perspective that leverages the collective knowledge of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Applies extensive use of basic statistical analysis and other regression tools.
• Providing technical direction to engineers, drafters and technicians on specific work assignments.
• Assists and collaborates with other departments in the design or improvement of products.
• Leads cross functional project teams to ensure projects are completed according to schedule.
• Provides necessary support and interface to thoroughly resolve field and factory issues and concerns.
• Advances the state of the art, in the mode of finding process improvements and championing implementation.
• Proficient at the creation of and compliance to procedures for the development of mechanical designs. Defines and interprets design specifications.
• Designs mechanical components and systems to meet specified requirements.
• Proficient at analyzing product design requirements and recommending solutions.
• Proficient at extrapolating ideas into product requirements and applies the philosophy of concurrent engineering with manufacturing processes.
• Proficient at preparing, checking, and coordinating the release of documentation to support component design.
