Job summary

Johnson Controls is hiring a Mechanical Engineer to support our custom air handling business from either our York, PA, or Hattiesburg, MS location. This is an onsite role, and candidates should be within commuting distance or willing to relocate.

You will serve as a subject matter expert for Custom Air Units and Air Handling Systems, collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, marketing, customer service, and airside technical service to resolve project, application, and order issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 1-4 years of experience or recent graduate aligned to the role.
• Design experience with AutoCAD and/or Inventor.
• Ability to support onsite work in York, PA, or Hattiesburg, MS, with commuting access to one of these locations or relocation willingness.

Responsibilities

• Provide commercial, competitive, and technical application support to the field sales organization on Custom Air Units.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, marketing, customer service, and airside technical service to resolve project, application, and order issues.
• Support AHU project work with Basis of Design and cost-effective solutions.
• Assist field visits, factory tours, and participate in testing of AHU software.
• Develop technical documents to support field sales on air handling topics.
• Coordinate release of documentation for Custom Air Handling products.
• Apply concurrent engineering to product requirements and manufacturing processes.
