Job summary

Daifuku Intralogistics America is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead conveyor and sortation engineering across aftermarket projects. You will own brownfield retrofits, upgrades, and expansions from concept through field execution, mentoring engineers and coordinating with controls, sales, and service teams.

You will develop technical solutions using Daifuku and third-party equipment, drive estimates and proposals, and ensure compliant, cost-effective deliveries in distribution centers

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 7 years in material handling; including 3+ years in conveyor/sortation.
• PE license preferred.
• Strong AutoCAD and 3D modeling skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead concept development for retrofits, upgrades, and expansions.
• Develop ROM budgets and technical proposals for aftermarket opportunities.
• Coordinate with controls, electrical, software, and project management teams.
• Mentor engineers through design reviews and field exposure.
• Travel up to 20% for site surveys and commissioning.
• Ensure compliance with engineering principles, standards, and codes.
