Job summary

Daifuku Intralogistics America Corporation seeks a Senior Aftermarket Mechanical Engineer to lead the mechanical design and execution of conveyor and sortation retrofit projects in operating facilities. You will own scope from customer discovery through field execution, integrating Daifuku and third‑party equipment into customer systems.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with controls and sales, and ensure solutions are accurately scoped, competitively priced, and delivered as quoted.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of material handling experience including 3 years in conveyor/sortation.
• PE license preferred or related certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead concept development for retrofits, upgrades, and expansions, translating goals into engineered solutions.
• Evaluate installed equipment and provide reuse/refurbish/replace recommendations with engineering analysis.
• Perform throughput, drive sizing, belt pull, and sorter capacity calculations.
• Develop ROM budgets, firm cost estimates, and technical proposals for aftermarket opportunities.
• Mentor and lead mechanical engineers and coordinate with controls/electrical/software teams.
