Job summary

Shield AI is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to own hardware development across the full product lifecycle, working hands-on in CAD, analysis, and testing while collaborating with cross-functional teams to build reliable, high-performance systems.

In this role you will contribute to the design and integration of mechanical systems for aerospace platforms, from concept and prototyping through test, production, and field support, with a bias toward execution and delivery.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 5-6 years hands-on mechanical design in aerospace or ruggedized hardware.
• Strong CAD skills with GD&T documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, and integrate mechanical systems and subsystems for aerospace platforms.
• Own deliverables from concept to test, production, and field support.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and PM teams.
• Provide hands-on support during testing, demos, and field operations.
