Job summary

V2X Inc. is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Hardware Engineering team in Indianapolis, IN. You will design new products and test hardware for mission-critical airborne systems, armament equipment, radar, and avionics, while supporting DoD customer programs.

You will lead mechanical design reviews, mentor junior engineers, and work closely with systems, electrical, test, and production teams in a fast-paced environment on-site in Indianapolis.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years professional mechanical design experience.
• Experience in design, integration, or testing of mechanical components and assemblies.
• Proficient with 3D CAD modeling tools (CREO preferred).
• Working knowledge of data management systems (Windchill preferred).
• Proficient in applying Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (ASME Y14.5).

Responsibilities

• Design new products and test hardware; improve existing products.
• Lead design reviews at part, subsystem and system levels (DFMAs, PDRs, CDRs).
• Provide hands-on support to production, integration, and testing.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with systems, electrical, test and production teams.
• Research design decisions with vendors and SMEs to meet requirements.
