Job summary

V2X Engineering in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join the Hardware Engineering team. The role focuses on designing new products and test hardware, improving existing solutions, and leading design reviews across parts and systems.

The successful candidate will mentor junior engineers, work closely with cross-functional teams, and engage vendors and SMEs to ensure robust design decisions for DoD programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related STEM field.
• US Citizenship with ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.
• Onsite in Indianapolis, IN with an Integrated Product Team.
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in design/assembly.
• Proficient in CREO CAD and Windchill data management.
• ASME Y14.5 GD&T knowledge and application.
• Strong planning, adaptability, and time management.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Design new products and test hardware; improve existing ones.
• Lead design reviews at part, subsystem, and system levels.
• Collaborate with systems, electrical, test, and production teams.
• Engage vendors/SMEs for informed design decisions.
