Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer in Colorado to lead complex mechanical projects, guide design teams, and ensure high-performance systems. You will mentor junior engineers and contribute to strategic planning in a rapid, agile environment.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering, 10+ years of experience, and the ability to obtain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering or related role.
• Higher level degree may substitute for experience.
• Expert understanding of mechanical design principles and CAD software.
• Understanding of engineering principles and practices.
• Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools.
• Experience in multi-disciplinary design teams.
• Experience using CATIA/3DExperience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.

Responsabilités

• Lead and manage complex mechanical engineering projects.
• Provide expert guidance on the design and development of mechanical systems.
• Perform high-level analyses and simulations to ensure optimal performance.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers on mechanical engineering practices.
• Prepare and review detailed technical documentation and reports.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success.
