Job summary

Evolving Solution Services in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead a team responsible for primary and secondary structures and mechanisms. This full-time role offers a salary range of $120,000 to $135,000 annually.

You will coordinate day-to-day activities, establish tooling and processes, review drawings and analyses, and manage suppliers to meet quality, cost, and schedule goals while presenting status to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience designing structural components, mechanisms, and mechanical assemblies.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability (DFM).
• Proficiency with CAD software, PLM tools, and finite element analysis (FEA).
• Experience designing and analyzing hardware for harsh environments, including vibration, shock, and acoustic loading.
• Self-motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications

• M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience leading engineering projects and mentoring or managing technical teams.
• Experience developing hardware for aircraft, spacecraft, or launch vehicles.
• Demonstrated experience leading products from concept through design, manufacturing, integration, testing, and qualification.
• Expert-level knowledge in one or more of the following disciplines: mechanical design, structural analysis, or testing.
