Alert Venture Foundry is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and development of robotic systems, focusing on challenging mechanisms and manufacturability. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 8+ years of mechanical engineering experience, preferably in robotics, machine design, or complex electromechanical systems.
• Experience designing and prototyping mechanical systems from concept through production.
• Experience with electromechanical and fluid power actuators, motion axis sizing, and actuator selection.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD tools such as Onshape, SolidWorks, or Autodesk Inventor.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T, FEA, materials selection, and design for manufacturability.
• Experience designing machined, molded, 3D-printed, and fabricated components.

About the Role

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at AVF, you'll lead the mechanical design and development of complex robotic systems and machinery, with an emphasis on innovative machine mechanisms. Using strong technical judgment, you'll contribute across the full product lifecycle, from concept and prototyping to production, focusing on performance, reliability, and manufacturability.

This hands-on engineering role combines mechanical design with prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting, working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams. This is an on-site role, four days per week in North Billerica, MA.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications
