Job summary

Applica is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to serve as Package Responsible Engineer for a major M&M scope on offshore assets. You will oversee mechanical packages, drive technical specs, bid evaluations, supplier coordination and FAT, coordinating with the client and multidisciplinary teams.

You will bring a background in offshore brownfield projects, knowledge of Equinor ST/STS requirements and strong communication. Based in Bergen, Norway, with a long-term contract renewals potential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• At least three years of relevant experience including PRE for mechanical packages on brownfield offshore projects.
• Experience with topside maintenance and modification (M&M) projects on NCS.
• Knowledge of Equinor ST and STS requirements.
• Experience with early-phase studies, concept development and/or EPCI modification contracts.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical equipment packages as Package Responsible Engineer (PRE).
• Manage technical specifications, bid evaluations, supplier coordination and FAT.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, suppliers and client to meet ST and STS requirements.
• Support brownfield modification project execution and documentation reviews.

About the Client

Applica are hiring for a leading EPC client for a major maintenance and modification programme of work relating to several offshore operational hubs positioned on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.

About the Role

You will be the Senior Mechanical Engineer to work as a Package Responsible Engineer (PRE) on a major M&M scope for offshore operational asset. You will be responsible for mechanical equipment packages, including technical specifications, bid evaluations, supplier coordination, documentation reviews and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).

The role will involve close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, suppliers and the client, ensuring compliance with Equinor ST and STS requirements and supporting the execution of brownfield modification projects.

About You

You will hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and have at least three years of relevant experience, including recent experience as a Package Responsible Engineer for mechanical packages on brownfield offshore projects.

You will also have:

• Experience with topside maintenance and modification (M&M) projects on Norwegian Continental Shelf.
• Knowledge of Equinor ST and STS requirements.
• Experience with early-phase studies, concept development and/or EPCI modification contracts.
• Proficiency in MIPS, SAP, TIME, STID, ProCoSys and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive, open-minded and solution-oriented approach.
• Fluency in Norwegian will be highly advantageous.
