• Lead the product lifecycle from concept and prototyping through pilot builds, new product introduction, and volume production, focusing on manufacturability and cost optimization.
• Develop and optimize production processes for scalable manufacturing and ensure design for manufacturability across parts and assemblies.

Job description

Own the mechanical design and layout of coherent lidar sensors, integrating electronics and optoelectronic assemblies while managing enclosure design and thermal performance. Lead the product lifecycle from concept and prototyping through pilot builds, new product introduction, and volume production, including manufacturability, cost optimization, and production process development.

Requirements: Requires a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least seven years of relevant experience taking mechanical designs from prototype to production. Candidates should have expert SolidWorks skills, experience with complex electronics-integrated assemblies and thermal management, knowledge of machined, sheet metal, and cast parts and their fabrication processes, and familiarity with PDM/PLM tools.
