Senior Mechanical Engineer - Operations & Engineering Manager

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead operations and engineering initiatives for an established oilfield equipment manufacturer. This role combines technical expertise in oilfield equipment design and manufacturing with comprehensive operational management responsibilities. The ideal candidate will drive company-wide operations while leading engineering teams to deliver innovative, high-quality solutions.

Primary Responsibilities

Operations Management:

• Oversee all company operations, ensuring efficient workflow and resource utilization
• Manage budgets, resource allocation, and strategic planning across departments
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and operational excellence

Engineering Leadership:

• Lead design, analysis, and optimization of mechanical systems for oilfield applications including pumps, valves, pressure vessels, skids, and drilling equipment
• Direct engineering teams through complex projects from concept to completion
• Coordinate cross-functional collaboration to meet project objectives for cost, quality, and delivery timelines

Technical Excellence:

• Ensure compliance with industry standards (API, ASME, ISO) and internal quality systems
• Oversee preparation of engineering drawings, specifications, BOMs, and technical documentation
• Resolve design and manufacturing challenges to support production operations
• Interface with clients, vendors, and field service teams to ensure design feasibility and customer satisfaction

Required Qualifications

Education & Licensing:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred)
• Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred

Experience:

• 8+ years of mechanical engineering experience in oilfield equipment or related heavy industrial sectors
• 3+ years of proven team leadership and engineering management experience
• Demonstrated management experience in oilfield-related manufacturing or equipment companies

Core Competencies:

• Strong project management and budget oversight capabilities
• Excellent cross-functional leadership and communication skills
• Deep understanding of oilfield equipment design principles and manufacturing processes
• Experience with industry-standard design software and engineering tools
