Job summary
A global industrial gas and engineering organization is seeking a driven Mechanical Engineer to manage the lifecycle of critical mechanical equipment in gas processing facilities. The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, 8+ years’ experience in industrial environments, and knowledge of ASME standards. Responsibilities include leading the procurement and maintenance of mechanical systems and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. This position may require up to 50% travel and is based in Houston, Texas.
Qualifications
8+ years of experience in industrial, manufacturing, or chemical processing environments.
Demonstrated experience with industrial rotating equipment.
Experience with centrifugal blowers, oil-flooded screw compressors, and/or industrial mixers.
Responsibilities
Lead specification, selection, procurement, commissioning, and maintenance of mechanical equipment.
Ensure systems meet process, safety, and operational requirements.
Oversee pressure vessel and piping design, modification, and repair.
Skills
Mechanical troubleshooting capability
Knowledge of ASME Section VIII Div. 1
Project management
Experience with industrial rotating equipment
Ability to work in industrial/process facilities
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
