Job summary

Integrity Trade Services in Houston, TX is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, and improve mud pumps, positive displacement pumps, frac pumps, and related equipment. You will drive innovation while ensuring safety, reliability, and efficiency of mechanical systems.

The role requires 3+ years of design experience, proficiency with Creo/Inventor/SolidWorks and FEA tools, and the ability to read P&IDs and schematics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Design experience with mud pumps, displacement pumps, frac pumps or related equipment.
• At least 3 years of engineering design experience.
• Proficiency with CAD and FEA tools.
• Ability to read P&IDs, electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (India every 2–3 years).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and refine mud pumps, displacement pumps, frac pumps, and related mechanical equipment.
• Provide engineering support to ensure performance, reliability, safety, and efficiency.
• Create design layouts and drawings per established standards.
• Perform stress analyses on components and systems.
• Conduct tolerance studies and review design documentation.
• Research and specify purchased components for performance and cost-effectiveness.
• Develop and implement test plans to validate performance.
• Prepare engineering reports documenting design processes and results.
• Evaluate emerging hardware and software technologies to improve offerings.

Responsibilities:

As the Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will take part in the design, development, and improvement of mud pumps, positive displacement pumps, frac pumps, and related equipment. This role will drive innovation while ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficiency of our mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record in machine design and a passion for developing innovative, high-performance engineering.

• Design, develop, and refine mud pumps, positive displacement pumps, frac pumps, and related mechanical equipment.
• Provide engineering expertise and technical support to ensure equipment performance, reliability, safety, and efficiency.
• Develop innovative mechanical design solutions that meet applicable industry standards.
• Perform stress analyses on mechanical components and systems to evaluate structural integrity and durability.
• Create detailed design layouts and engineering drawings in accordance with established standards and best practices.
• Conduct tolerance studies and review design documentation to maintain quality and accuracy.
• Research and specify purchased components based on compatibility, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
• Develop and implement test plans to validate component and system performance and functionality.
• Prepare engineering reports documenting design processes, analyses, testing, and results.
• Evaluate emerging hardware and software technologies to improve equipment offerings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on equipment conceptualization, development, and specifications.

Location:

Houston, TX

Schedule/Shift Details:

9:00 am to 4:00 pm; the individual can decide to start earlier. Remote work: 3 days in office, 2 days at home. Remote work only after the individual is fully trained and able to work independently.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Required design experience with mud pumps, positive displacement pumps, frac pumps, or related equipment.
• At least 3 years of relevant engineering design experience; see the experience requirement clarification below.
• Strong background in machine design and the development of mechanical systems.
• Proficiency with CAD software, such as Creo, Inventor, or SolidWorks, and finite element analysis (FEA) tools, such as Ansys or SolidWorks Simulation.
• Ability to read and interpret piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), electrical schematics, and hydraulic schematics.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with close attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to accommodate occasional domestic and international travel, including potential travel to India once every 2 or 3 years.

Preferred:

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical systems, welding, or related technical hobbies.
• Experience working in an ISO- or API Q1-certified manufacturing facility.
• Familiarity with industry specifications, including API 6A, 7K, and 8C.
