Job summary

PrimeBridge Workforce LLC in Houston, TX seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to design and improve mud pumps, PD pumps, frac pumps, and related equipment.

You will create 3D models and drawings in Creo, Inventor, or SolidWorks; perform stress analysis and validation; interpret P&IDs and hydraulic/electrical schematics; collaborate with manufacturing from concept to production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3+ years mechanical design experience; 5+ years preferred.
• Direct pump design experience with mud pumps, PD pumps or frac pumps.
• Proficiency with Creo, Inventor, SolidWorks or comparable CAD software.

We are currently hiring on behalf of our clients for the following position:

Position: Sr Mechanical Engineer

Location: Houston, TX

Employment Type: Full-Time

Experience: 5+

We're looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in mechanical/machine design and pump systems. This position will focus on designing and improving mud pumps, positive displacement pumps, frac pumps, and related mechanical equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and enhance pumps, mechanical equipment, and related components.
• Develop 3D models, layouts, and detailed engineering drawings using Creo, Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, or similar CAD tools.
• Perform stress analysis, FEA, tolerance studies, and design validation.
• Develop test plans and evaluate component/system performance.
• Interpret P&IDs, hydraulic schematics, and electrical schematics.
• Work closely with manufacturing and engineering teams from concept through production.
• Ensure designs meet applicable API, safety, and engineering standards.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3+ years of mechanical design engineering experience; 5+ years preferred.
• Direct pump design experience with mud pumps, positive displacement pumps, frac pumps, or closely related equipment - REQUIRED.
• Strong machine design and mechanical system development experience.
• Proficiency with Creo, Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, or comparable CAD software.

Nice to Have:

• Oil & Gas, Oilfield Services, or Industrial Pumping experience.
• Knowledge of API 6A, API 7K, and API 8C.
• Experience in ISO-certified or API Q1-certified manufacturing environments.
• Hands-on exposure to fabrication, welding, and mechanical systems.
