Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking a qualified estimator for xPL Offsite project work in Huntsville, AL. The role involves preparing detailed estimates from drawings and specs, coordinating with engineering disciplines, and ensuring scope completeness across manufacturing and logistics.

You will develop bid packages, work with vendors and internal teams, and apply DFMA thinking to optimize cost, schedule, and delivery. Regular travel may be required while supporting multiple project sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 3+ years of related experience preferred.
• Experience in structural, mechanical and/or electrical disciplines is highly desirable.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of estimating documents and ability to provide qualitative and quantitative analysis.
• Conceptual ability to develop accurate estimates with minimal information.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimate including quantity take-offs, analysis, and input for identified xPL project scopes.
• Collaborate with xPL team to define scope and identify xPL solutions.
• Apply DFMA principles to manufacturing and capacity requirements.
• Lead document management: organize drawings/specifications and distribute to stakeholders.
• Coordinate with procurement and manufacturing teams to obtain best pricing.
