Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Huntsville, AL seeks an experienced estimator for the xPL Offsite division. You will prepare detailed estimates across structural, electrical and mechanical scopes from drawings and specs, and coordinate with vendors and internal teams to ensure complete, bid-ready packages.

You will apply DFMA insights, develop scope definitions, and manage documents and pricing to achieve cost-effective, on-time project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and minimum of 3 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Experience and expertise in structural, mechanical and/or electrical disciplines, highly desirable.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule.
• Knowledge of estimating documents and ability to provide accurate qualitative and quantitative analysis of documents.
• Proficient in DFMA practices and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates for identified xPL solutions and products based on project drawings and specifications.
• Develop and communicate bid packages and scope for vendors, suppliers, and third-party integrators.
• Coordinate with xPL Offsite stakeholders to confirm completeness of developed estimate.
• Lead document management for project and distribute information to stakeholders.
• Assist with set-up of estimate, schedule, and responsibility matrix.
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and integrators to obtain best pricing and substitutions.
• Develop cost analyses and value studies comparing estimate to alternatives.
• Maintain pricing histories and cost databases; supervise team as assigned.
