Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an experienced estimator for xPL Offsite projects located in Huntsville, AL. You will prepare detailed estimates, perform take-offs across structural, electrical and mechanical disciplines, and coordinate with vendors and integrators.

The role requires DFMA knowledge, collaboration with internal stakeholders and a focus on cost effectiveness and schedule alignment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and minimum of 3 years of related experience or equivalent.
Experience in structural, mechanical and/or electrical disciplines is highly desirable.
Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule.
Knowledge of estimating documents and ability to provide accurate qualitative and quantitative analysis.

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed estimate including quantity take-offs, analysis, estimate input, and studies for items in identified xPL scope of work.
Collaborate with xPL team and stakeholders to understand proposed scope of work and identified xPL solutions.
Apply DFMA practices to understand project requirements for xPL manufacturing and facility capacity.
Lead document management for project and distribute information to stakeholders.
Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and third-party integrators to obtain best-in-market pricing.
Develop and maintain pricing histories and material cost databases.
