Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Specialist, Mechanical Drafter in Cincinnati, OH to support the design and documentation of missile components and assemblies. You will translate complex concepts into precise, manufacturable drawings that meet stringent military and industry standards.

The role requires 6–10 years of experience, a mechanical engineering technology background, and expertise in Solid Edge CAD and PLM/PDM systems. Travel is minimal and security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Requires 4+ years of relevant experience in mechanical drawing and engineering change processes.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD software and PLM/PDM systems.
• Experience producing manufacturing documentation to military and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed mechanical drawings for missile components, assemblies, and sub-assemblies using Solid Edge CAD.
• Develop piece-part and assembly drawings with tolerances and manufacturing instructions.
• Manage design trees and BOMs within the PDM/PLM system with configuration control.
• Incorporate EO/ECO changes into drawings and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
