Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of mechanical design experience; higher for advanced degrees.
• Experience interpreting requirements into implementable designs and artifacts.
• Experience with material, component, and process selection decisions.
• Ability to obtain DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Own development and delivery of mechanical design documentation for mission systems.
• Develop packaging approaches that support performance and integration needs.
• Perform structural design for brackets, housings, mounts, and load-bearing hardware.
• Coordinate vehicle integration tasks with systems, electrical, and manufacturing teams.
• Prepare technical content for design reviews and assessments.
• Evaluate design trades for mass, packaging, interfaces, manufacturability.
• Lead mechanical engineering activities for prototypes and tests.
• Document design decisions and release-ready artifacts.
• Support design-to-production transition and compliance requirements.
• Travel up to 25% for integration, testing, and customer engagement.
