Job summary

Amentum seeks a Mechanical Supervising Discipline Engineer to join our Englewood, CO team. The role may be filled remotely for the right candidate with strong communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities include coordinating discipline engineering with other teams, managing schedules and budgets, and ensuring compliance with industry codes and regulatory requirements. A PE license and 10+ years’ experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Sciences degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-Accredited program is required.
• Minimum of ten (10) years design engineering experience.
• Professional Engineering license is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Must have working knowledge of MS Office and engineering software.
• U.S. citizenship is required for client projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the discipline's engineering with other disciplines.
• Maintain records and project documentation.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and apply engineer seals where required.
• Lead preparation and review of discipline specifications and external reviews.
• Establish schedules and budgets to meet project requirements.
• Coordinate with Principal and Chief Engineers on technical direction and staffing.
• Provide status reports and forecasts on discipline progress.
• Mentor team members and support training programs.
• Contribute to estimating and manpower planning for projects.
• Advise management on schedule, budget, and risk matters.
• Develop training programs within the area of expertise.
