Job summary

Valhalla Engineering Group LLC is hiring an Electrical Engineer- PE, Discipline Lead in Englewood, CO. The role focuses on designing electrical systems for healthcare and commercial environments, ensuring code compliance, and delivering high-quality construction documents.

You will lead the discipline, manage budgets, mentor EITs, and coordinate with architects and other engineers. A PE license and strong communication are required for this leadership position.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required and may require a security clearance.
• Veterans Affairs, DoD, or other Federal experience desired; commercial experience considered.
• Be self-motivated, able to perform and solve problems independently and take initiative with minimal oversight.
• Possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency in electrical design software including Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, MS Office, MS Project, Adobe Acrobat, and Easy Power.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for healthcare and commercial environments (power, lighting, low voltage, telecommunications).
• Develop design concepts and analyze existing systems for modifications.
• Review SOW and implement designs accordingly.
• Apply NEC/NFPA codes and government requirements in construction documents.
• Help develop and manage man-hour budgets within the discipline.
• Produce design drawings and specs with calculations (load studies, voltage drop, short circuit, coordination).
• Ensure QA/QC of Electrical Construction Package per company procedures.
• Coordinate equipment layout with architects and other disciplines.
• Perform Construction Phase services including field observations and how to respond to submittals and RFIs.
• Track timelines and budgets to complete tasks on schedule.
• Mentor EITs and maintain design standards and guidelines.
• Other design/engineering tasks as assigned
