Job summary

HCL Technologies Limited in Peoria, IL seeks a mechanical design engineer with 5-7 years of experience and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent. You will develop and articulate product design concepts, design heavy structures, chassis and upper frames for off-highway equipment, and apply welding and fabrication design expertise.

You’ll work with CAT tools and processes, CAD tools (CREO or similar), Teamcenter and VisMockup, and contribute to Caterpillar print creation and release.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
• 5–7 years relevant experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience designing heavy structures, chassis, and upper frames.
• Welding and fabrication design experience.
• Experience with off-highway trucks/mining products.
• Independent problem solving capabilities.
• Mechanical system integration and fabrication experience.
• Familiarity with Caterpillar tools and processes.
• Proficient in CAD tools (CREO or similar), Teamcenter, VisMockup; Caterpillar print release.

Responsibilities
