Job summary

Belcan is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join its Drivetrain Castings Component Team in East Peoria, IL. The role focuses on axle housing design, solving complex Creo-based challenges, and driving design validation alongside experienced engineers.

The ideal candidate has a BS in mechanical engineering, 3–4 years of design experience, and strong GD&T and drawing interpretation skills, with hands-on collaboration across manufacturing and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and modify 3D models and component designs using Creo.
• Support concept development, design validation, and engineering analysis activities.
• Perform stress and fatigue/life analysis on mechanical components.
• Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements.
• Assess part non-conformance risks and support product improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, suppliers, quality, manufacturing, and operations teams.
