Job summary

Cuhaci Peterson® is seeking a Senior Mechanical Designer to develop HVAC, plumbing, and related building systems designs for commercial and institutional projects. Under a Licensed Professional Engineer, you will produce coordinated construction documents and lead junior designers.

You will collaborate with engineers, architects, and contractors, perform load calculations, review drawings, and assist in permit and project delivery from concept through construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of building systems design experience; EIT preferred. (or Associate degree with 7+ years of HVAC/plumbing design under PE)
• EIT certification preferred and experience in A&E consulting environments are advantages
• Strong BIM and Revit experience required

Responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate HVAC, plumbing, and related building system designs for assigned projects.
• Develop plans, details, schedules, specifications, and construction documents with minimal supervision.
• Perform system layouts, equipment selection, and design calculations under a PE supervision.
