Job summary

Matthews International is seeking a Sr. Design & Product Engineer (Mechanical) to lead mechanical architecture, design, and integration of products, tools, testers, and components in Corvallis. The role spans concept through end-of-life support and requires collaboration with cross-functional teams.

You will evaluate and develop mechanical systems, design experiments, and oversee manufacturing processes while ensuring alignment with customer and business requirements. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field is required.
• 5-8 years professional engineering experience (or equivalent).
• Solid modeling CAD software knowledge, especially Solidworks.
• Occasional travel may be required; travel locally, nationally, and/or internationally.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical and electromechanical systems and products.
• Develop and test specifications and methods.
• Plan, schedule and manage medium complexity projects up to six months.
• Support startup and production launches; provide information to customers and internal teams.
• Review work and guide entry/junior engineers.
