Job summary

Honeywell seeks a Lead Mechanical Design Engineer in Houston, TX. You will lead the design of mechanical systems for gas skids and station solutions, ensuring safe, reliable, and cost-effective designs for mission-critical data center infrastructure.

You will mentor junior engineers and collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, compliant designs. You will report to the General Manager and operate on a Hybrid schedule from our Houston location, with an initial 90-day

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
6+ years of experience in mechanical design and development.
Experience with multidisciplinary capital projects including design, scope, schedule, cost, quality and risk.

Responsibilities

Lead and drive the mechanical design process from concept to production.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define mechanical requirements and specs.
Design and develop complex mechanical systems, components, and assemblies.
Perform mechanical analysis and simulations to ensure performance and reliability.
Provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
Lead and manage electrical engineering projects including budgets and timelines.
Coordinate with safety authorities on hazardous-area and regulatory requirements.
Review supplier proposals and ensure compliance with project specs and costs.
