Job summary

Honeywell Technologies is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer in Muncie, IN, operating on a hybrid schedule. You will own engineered-to-order mechanical design for fuel skid systems and air heater chambers, interfacing with purchasing and fabrication to ensure on-time delivery and high-quality performance combustion systems across markets.

You will lead technical solutions during project execution, coordinate CAD-based design work in GES Centers, and support specifications reviews to drive

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Technology) from ABET-accredited university.
• 0–5 years engineering and/or project management experience.
• 0–5 years’ experience with CAD software tools.
• Willingness to travel domestically (minimal travel).
• Experience with combustion equipment and systems is valued.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of assigned projects and resolve day-to-day technical and project issues with ISC/shop personnel, Engineering, Finance, Sales, Business, and subcontractors as needed.
• Provide Mechanical Engineering leadership to CCS during development, execution, and post-shipment phases.
• Meet/exceed KPI targets including OTTR (on-time deliveries).
• Coordinate projects using CAD design skills in the Global Engineering Service centers.
• Review project specifications and requirements during development prior to sale.
• Lead development of technical solutions for combustion systems during execution or at the site.
