Cyvl, a Boston-based hardware and software company, seeks a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to own the sensor hardware mounted on customer vehicles. You will drive enclosure design, thermal paths, sealing, and mounting systems with hands-on prototyping and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 3–7 years experience.
• Experience with precision-machined parts and molded plastics; design for tooling.
• Familiarity with CNC, sheet metal, and additive processes helps.

Responsibilities

• Take designs from concept to production with cross-functional teams.
• Show robustness via structural/thermal simulations and testing.
• Develop mounting systems for vehicle integration across models.
• Produce drawings, GD&T, BOMs, and documentation for manufacturing.
• Lead DFMEA, revisions, and change control through production ramp.
