Job summary

Lanteris Space Systems in San Jose, CA seeks a Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer to support RF Active and Passive subsystems for satellite programs. You will interface with RF and manufacturing engineers and guide designs through development, manufacturing and test, acting as a technical expert on the subsystem.

The role requires CREO 3D design experience, a B.S. in mechanical or aerospace engineering and 2–3 years of related work. US citizenship or permanent residency is required.

Qualifications

• US citizen or permanent resident as required.
• B.S. in mechanical or aerospace engineering or related field.
• 2–3 years of related working experience; masters may substitute for 2 years.
• Experience with CREO 3D design.

Responsibilities

• Acts as the Mechanical Design Engineer for RF subsystems.
• Determines specifications for design, development, test and production.
• Provides technical consultation to management and other engineering personnel.
• Designs, documents and reports on engineering progress for assigned projects.
• Provides technical analysis and recommendations.
• Prepares and delivers briefings and reports on activities and results.
• Introduces innovative techniques in area of specialty.
