Job summary

Barrette Workforce Solutions, LLC is seeking a Senior Product Design Engineer to design precision products and assemblies from concept to production release. You will work hands-on with mechanical design, analysis, prototyping, and customer collaboration to deliver reliable solutions.

The role emphasizes 3D CAD, detailed drawings, GD&T, tolerance analysis, and EC. You will interact with manufacturing, quality, and suppliers to ensure robust designs and successful NPI programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Progressive experience designing mechanical products through production release.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD, detailed drawings, GD&T, tolerance analysis, and EC.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer requirements into product specifications and design concepts.
• Create and maintain 3D CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and design docs.
• Perform calculations, material selection, tolerance analysis, and risk assessment.
• Design with temperature, pressure, sealing, interfaces, and manufacturability in mind.
• Develop prototype/validation plans, evaluate results, and refine designs.
• Lead or contribute to design reviews and address issues with multiple teams.
• Support NPI, ECOs, and troubleshooting of production or field concerns.
• Provide guidance to junior engineers and share reusable design knowledge.
