Qualifications

• 7+ years of mechanical design or product development experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience designing gears, gearboxes, drivetrains, or precision assemblies.
• Proficiency with gear design tools such as MITCalc, KISSsoft, MASTA, or FVA Workbench.
• Advanced CAD experience; SolidWorks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of planetary and right-angle gearboxes and related components.
• Collaborate with customers, sales, and manufacturing to ensure manufacturability and cost targets.
• Perform gear sizing, torque calculations, shaft bearing selection, and tolerance analysis.
• Create and maintain drawings, BOMs, and change documentation.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers.
