Sterling Engineering in Wheeling, IL 60090 is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to design and develop custom machinery and fixtures using SolidWorks, with 5+ years of hands-on experience in manufacturing. This is a 100% onsite, direct hire position.

The role emphasizes ensuring tolerances, manufacturability, and cost efficiency, while designing components, tooling, fixtures, and assemblies, and collaborating with production teams to troubleshoot design and manufacturing issues.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) required or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of hands-on mechanical design experience in manufacturing.
• Experience designing industrial machinery, mechanical equipment, or automated systems.

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop custom machinery, equipment, tooling, and fixtures based on customer specifications.
• Use SolidWorks to create 3D models, drawings, and manufacturing prints.
