Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems AB in Tulsa, OK seeks an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join the New Product Development team. You will design electrical and electromechanical products, develop schematics and control systems, and support prototyping, testing, and production launch.

The role requires 5+ years in electrical design, familiarity with SolidWorks, PLC/HMI development, and strong collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in electrical design, controls engineering, automation, or product development in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience designing electrical control systems for industrial equipment and automated systems.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks and electrical CAD tools; familiarity with UL/NEC/IEC standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to the design and development of electrical and electromechanical products.
• Develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, control panel layouts, BOMs, and specifications.
• Design and integrate electrical control systems including PLCs, HMIs, sensors, relays, motors, actuators, power distribution, and communications devices.
• Support prototyping, testing, and validation; ensure manufacturability and cost effectiveness.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and suppliers to source components and drive product launches.
• Manage electrical engineering activities across the development lifecycle; create schedules and documentation.
