Applied Carbon is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with strong SolidWorks design experience to own subsystems end-to-end, from concept through production drawings, for mobile biomass-to-biochar equipment. The role emphasizes manufacturability, reliability, and collaboration with fabricators and the in-house team in a fast-paced startup setting.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent hands-on design experience.
• 5+ years SolidWorks experience including complex assemblies, weldments, sheet metal.
• Experience with fabrication drawings and processes.
• Thermal or high-temperature systems exposure.
• Welding or weldment design experience and ability to communicate with fabricators.

Responsabilidades

• Create detailed 3D models, complex assemblies, and technical drawings from concepts and specs.
• Generate shop and fabrication drawings with weldments and tolerances.
• Create assembly and maintenance instructions including torque specs and wear part replacement intervals.
• Manage large multi-component assemblies and integrate subsystems.
• Create and maintain BOMs and SolidWorks library; manage revision control in PDM.
• Inspect drawings for accuracy before fabrication release.
• Design for high-temperature service with appropriate material selection.
• Submit drawings for RFQs and coordinate with fabricators and vendors.
• Support rapid design iteration in a startup environment.
• Present design solutions in reviews to engineers, management, and customers.
