Job summary

Arbor Energy & Resources Corporation is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Engineer (Gasification) to lead the development, testing, and optimization of biomass gasification systems for scale from demonstration to pilot.

You will own daily operations on a small gasification team, guiding design, testing, and integration of feedstock pretreatment and solids handling. Applicants should have a strong background in combustion system design, thermodynamics, and high-temperature equipment, with hands-on

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in combustion system design, analysis, and testing.
• Experience with electro-mechanical and/or chemical conversion systems.
• Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer.
• Hands-on experience with high-temperature and pressure equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to own product lifecycle from conceptual design to validation.

Responsibilities

• Execute design, procurement, assembly, testing and operation of high-pressure solids feed and removal hardware.
• Contribute to 3D modeling, structural analysis, fabrication drawings and PFD's / fluid P&ID's as well as test plans and procedures.
• Find robust, cost-effective solutions to solve Arbor's electro-mechanical, thermal, and fluid system design problems.
• Manage large assembly BOMs and work across departments to deliver project results.
