Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 10+ years of mechanical product design and development experience.
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals and their application to product development.
• Experience applying GD&T based on functional design requirements.
• Knowledge of manufacturing, machining, and assembly processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of mechanical and mechatronic products from concept through validation and production.
• Translate system-level requirements into detailed component and assembly designs.
• Create and modify 3D models and assemblies using CAD software.
• Develop engineering drawings and apply GD&T requirements.
• Perform tolerance analyses, stack-up studies, and mechanical assembly analyses.
• Document designs through reports, drawings, and BOMs.
• Conduct DFMEA activities and validate component designs.
• Evaluate packaging within vehicle environments and optimize layouts.
• Develop and execute component validation and development test plans.
• Support APQP activities related to sourcing, validation, and production readiness.
• Manage program timing, cost, and performance targets; collaborate with teams, suppliers, and customers.
